This magical quest begins upon entering the confines of Room 237, where our "Studio Docent" will greet you with a warm welcome. Each space in our studio has been carefully curated to provide students with open-ended materials and resources for inspiring their art of "teaching," or as we like to call it, facilitating and shaping of the brain.
The magic lies in the fact these parts and materials curate new languages or ways of interacting with children’s ideas or wonderings.

The CREATIVE LEARNING STUDIO is a place where
Los Angeles Harbor College students studying Child Development are given the realms to unleash their creative expression as they craft invitations for play-based learning.
Students enrolled in at least one child development course can borrow a plethora of children's books, puppets, flannel stories, scarfs, instruments, blocks, loose parts and many other open-ended materials to inspire children's
"play urges."
In addition to curriculum materials, we have many books to inspire your work with young children and textbooks that are available for check-out. The following Child Development courses have a textbook in stock in which students can borrow for the semester.
